The purpose of Americana English Language Institute
Americana English Language Institute has been established to provide english language service to a largely underprivelaged, underserved community. The institute plans to utilize U.S. service members looking for an opportunity to serve the community Pyeongtaek and Anjeong-ri.
Classes will be conducted for 2 hours daily at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. . There will be two classes conducted at each time. Each class will be taught by one teacher and two volunteers will contribute as teachers assistants. Thirty students will be taught per class. Each class will last 16 weeks.
Concerning the administrative functions there will be several other staff members to serve critical roles. There will be two secretaries who serve clerical functions such as admitting new students and providing information to prospective students. There will also be two managers to oversee the operations during the scheduled hours of operation. The staff will also include two janitors to maintain the premises.
We are currently seeking available space within the community for the purpose of teaching the classes. Necessary space would include: 2 offices, one each for the manager and secretary; 2 classrooms; and one janitorial office.
We have provided a prospective budget for the aforementioned expenses.
Staff Expenses
-4 Teachers/ salary- $30,000 each per year
-8 Volunteers/ salary- $0 each per year
-2 Managers/ salary- $40,000 each per year
-2 Secretaries/ salary- $20,000 each per year
-2 Janitors/ salary- $20,000 each per year
Building Expenses
-Building/ rent- $100,000
The school will operate on funds provided by a variety of sources. Both Korean available public funds as well charitable donations from private individuals and institutions will help offset the cost of operation. Finally, we will have a tuition of $1,000 per class.
Hopefully, The Americana English Language Institute will be able to achieve the goals of providing opportunities for U.S. service members as well as teach Koreans english.

Subject: New policy regarding weekend and holiday scheduling
It is important to first recognize the hard work and dedication of all the employees of Berkshire Corp. Everyone has put in many hours making this one of the best companies in the world, not just in terms of production but also in terms of quality of life. With that said, there will be a new policy enacted at the beginning of next month (May 2009) regarding weekend and holiday schedules. Below is a list of changes.
1. Scheduled eight hour shifts will be provided each day of the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for all employees.
2. These shifts will begin at 5:00 a.m.
3. Employees must be scheduled to work eight hour shifts for half of all federal holidays.
4. The specific scheduling for these shifts will be determined by each team supervisor.
5. Holiday shifts will be compensated with time and a half pay.

18. I would use a report to communicate information about internship programs. That would allow for more information to be displayed and read at the other persons convenience.
19. for official government business, especially something that needs to be recorded properly, I would write a letter.
20. In order to appear professional when delivering information about an employee I would conduct a face-to-face meeting with the individual.
